The problem
Care navigation is a clinical decision made by non-clinical staff.
Every day your reception team decides who needs a GP, who needs a pharmacist, who needs to be seen now. It's some of the highest-stakes work in the building, and it's done by people without clinical training, often from memory or a laminated sheet that's three versions out of date.
The result is variability: the same presentation routed five different ways by five different people. Navigate replaces that with one clinically-approved protocol, applied consistently, by everyone.
